Origin
"Sagarikaa" originated from a remarkably moving and highly personal tale about a woman's love of fashion.
Everything started when "Swati Jain" went to a show in Pragati Maidan. She bumped onto an artisan who was excitedly narrating his story as they browsed the colourful booths selling beautiful handicrafts and traditional textiles.
This weaver created amazing Ajrakh sarees and dupattas with all his heart and soul. Although his works were magnificent, he remarked about the difficulties he had in reaching a bigger audience for his creativity.
This heartfelt talk had a big influence on the young lady. She saw the need to close this gap and give these great artisans a greater impact.
She went to visit the place where weavers made the products and learned about the process of production and supply chain and after that day “Sagarikaa” was born.
